Starting to load into GameMaker the sprites I've made for my main character I find that the Image Editor is not half bad, I assumed it would be very basic, it actually has a lot of tools I found to be useful. I had to remove the white background from my sprites and I just used the magic wand tool, selected and deleted the background nice and clean, I'm always happier when I don't have to work between a bunch of different programs and keep things simple. This is also another good reason to work with pixel art for my first game as I can handle more graphic related issues within GameMaker and spend more time figuring out this programming stuff.
